Fleximize Backs Rising Darts Star Ruby Grey

30th September 2025

Fleximize is proud to announce its sponsorship of 17-year-old darts player, Ruby Grey, as she looks to take the next step in her sporting career.

Ruby, from Haverhill, first picked up darts at the age of seven while watching her dad play at home. She recalls having her own small board set up underneath his, joining in whenever his friends came round for their dart nights. By 13, she was competing alongside him in mixed pairs tournaments – reaching the final in their very first outing.

Since then, Ruby has quickly risen through the ranks, moving from her local youth academy in Sudbury to county and Super League darts, and now onto the national and international stage.

Her achievements already include:

Ruby is currently ranked fourth in the world and is aiming to qualify for the World Championships later this year at Lakeside. With Fleximize’s support, she will be able to attend key tournaments across Europe and the UK, boosting her chances of securing her place among the sport’s elite.

“It’s brilliant to see someone from our local area making such a mark in the darts world. Ruby’s determination and ambition is inspiring, and we’re excited to play a part in helping her reach her full potential on the world stage,” said Peter Tuvey, Co-Founder and CEO of Fleximize.

Ruby explained that Fleximize’s backing means she doesn’t have to worry about winning prize money just to afford her next event. “I can go there and just focus on my own darts,” she said.

Looking ahead, Ruby’s calendar is packed with competitions across the UK and Europe, including Bridlington, Latvia, Belgium, and a ten-day tournament in Hungary. All while balancing her studies – often on the road with her iPad in tow.

When asked what advice she would give her younger self, Ruby said simply “Just practice more.” Despite setbacks, including a house fire that forced her family into temporary accommodation, her consistency and persistence paid off.

She also shared her pre-match ritual: “I’ll stick my AirPods in, listen to some music to calm myself down, especially before big finals – James Arthur, Benson Boone – and just get into a positive mindset and it should hopefully go my way.”

Fleximize is proud to stand behind local talent like Ruby, showing that with the right support, big goals become possible.
