Ipswich-based digital business lender Fleximize is celebrating after taking home two prestigious titles at this year’s East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards, held on Thursday 10th July at Kesgrave Hall, just down the road from the company’s Suffolk HQ.
Fleximize was crowned Employer of the Year, sponsored by Ashtons Legal, and Growth Business of the Year, sponsored by Vertas Group. The company was also named a finalist in the Suffolk Business of the Year category – a non-entry award that recognises the top-performing organisations across the region.
For over twenty years, the awards have shined a spotlight on the businesses making an outstanding contribution to Suffolk’s economy and community. With two judges per category, a rigorous two-stage judging process took place virtually and in-person, with finalists announced on 25th June across print, online and social media.
Founded in 2014, Fleximize has grown from a five-person startup into a 90+ strong team supporting thousands of UK SMEs with over £580 million in funding. The company’s people-first culture, consistent financial growth, and commitment to regional job creation impressed judges across both winning categories.
Peter Tuvey, Co-Founder and CEO of Fleximize, commented:
“Winning both Employer of the Year and Growth Business of the Year is a huge honour, and testament to the incredible team we’ve built here in Ipswich. These awards recognise not just our performance, but our values – from creating meaningful career opportunities to helping small businesses thrive. To also be a finalist for Suffolk Business of the Year, among such strong contenders, is a great reminder of how far we’ve come as a local business.”
The Employer of the Year award highlights organisations that lead the way in employee engagement, innovation, and progressive people strategies. Judges praised Fleximize’s inclusive culture, high retention and happiness scores, wellbeing initiatives, and clear focus on professional development.
The Growth Business of the Year award recognises consistent financial expansion and market growth. Fleximize’s year-on-year turnover increase, growing customer base, and regional economic contribution stood out as a blueprint for sustainable scale, with roots firmly planted in East Anglia.
