The team behind Preloved Kilo hold pop-up vintage sales events across the UK, visiting two cities every weekend. The events allow fashion lovers and thrift shoppers to browse thousands of retro pieces, including designer items, before paying for their shopping per kilo.
As a result of their success, Preloved Kilo has doubled their event schedule in their first three years. Naturally, this has led to additional costs. With between six and seven tonnes of vintage clothes, jewellery and shoes available at each event, the team need to source, organise and display these items as efficiently as possible.
Initially, this was coordinated using hired vehicles, but Fleximize was able to offer funding which not only allowed the Preloved Kilo team to purchase their own fleet of vans, but also to source stock in advance at much lower prices. This has saved the business around £5,000 each month.
