Motivating your employees is key to keep your business performing in a positive way. One of the best ways to keep your staff motivated is to inspire them to follow your vision, but it is not always as easy as it sounds.
Lead by example. Make sure you have a passion for the goals, principles and ambition of your organisation. If you don’t, you’ll have little chance of inspiring others.
Talk with your staff. Discuss the bigger picture, your long-term goals and your vision. Inspiration comes from seeing their own roles as vital components of a much bigger project.
Identify and acknowledge good work. Encourage employees to share their ideas with you and with each other, and foster a genuinely positive working environment. In this way you’ll not only inspire your employees, you’ll help them to continue to inspire each other too.
