Emma Pratt is founder and marketing director of EP Marketing, a strategic and creative marketing agency based in Fleximize’s hometown of Ipswich, Suffolk.
Prior to launching the company from her kitchen table, Pratt built up her marketing expertise at a number of B2B companies in the region. She decided to go her own way when the law firm she was working for underwent a massive merger, which left her feeling disillusioned.
EP Marketing is now thriving as one of Suffolk’s leading marketing agencies, offering a range of services to a host of clients. However, in 2016, the company faced a huge test when Pratt suffered a stroke, forcing her to spend six weeks away from the business.
Fortunately for Pratt, her team was able to pull together in her absence, ensuring that the company continued to grow. The business also had the benefit of a loan from Fleximize, which helped it keep control of its cash flow during this challenging period.
